Advanced LYMPHATIC Therapy

Advanced Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (ALT) aka Electro Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (ELT)

The Lymphatic System

The lymphatic system is a part of the immune system.  It keeps body fluid levels in balance and defends the body against infections, acting as its' primary defense system.

Vessels, tissues, organs, and glands work together to drain a watery fluid called lymph from throughout the body.

Congestion symptoms include (not limited to): swelling (especially arms/legs), heaviness, stiffness, skin changes, pain, brain fog, fatigue, digestive issues, and frequent infections, stemming from sluggish lymph.

Our Technology

Lymph Star Pro is an FDA-approved, non-invasive device designed to stimulate the proper flow and drainage of the lymphatic system using a combination of light, sound, and vibrational energy.

  Technique:

  • Therapists use a specialized device's glass wands to glide over the skin to help break up lymph congestion to remove toxins.
  • A non-invasive, gentle, relaxing - full body treatment.

Contraindications:

  • Acute infections, blood clots, phlebitis, severe cardiac issues and more.  See below.

Why Make The Health Investment?

How does the Lymphatic system work?

Functioning almost like a sponge, the lymphatic system absorbs excess lymph fluid from the body's organs and returns it to the blood stream. In a healthy body, the lymphatic channels from the liver and mesentery drain toward the thoracic duct, which is the main lymphatic vessel responsible for lymph drainage.

What is the Thoracic Duct?

Your thoracic duct is the biggest lymphatic vessel in your body. It’s a long, tubelike structure that carries lymph from your belly area up through your chest. Like a highway on ramp, your thoracic duct merges into large veins near the base of your neck. This allows lymph to rejoin your bloodstream and continue its journey through your body.

Primary Physical Signs of Clogged Lymphatic System

  • Swelling (Edema): The most common sign, often in limbs, fingers, or the face. Rings or clothing may feel tighter.
  • Skin Changes: Skin may feel thick, leathery, or tight, and may show pitting (indentations) when pressed.
  • Heaviness or Aching: A feeling of fullness or soreness in the limbs.
  • Enlarged Lymph Nodes: Nodes that remain swollen long after an infection has passed.
  • Cellulite Increase: A sudden increase in skin dimpling or fat deposits.

Common Symptoms of Poor Lymphatic Drainage

  • Chronic Fatigue & Brain Fog: A general sense of being run down, lethargy, and difficulty concentrating.
  • Stiffness & Soreness: Feeling stiff in the morning or experiencing unexplained aches.
  • Digestive Issues & Bloating: General fluid retention and sluggish digestion.
  • Immune System Issues: Recurring infections or frequent cold/flu-like symptoms.
  • Cold Extremities: Feeling cold in the hands and feet.

Causes of Lymphatic Congestion

The lymphatic system can become overwhelmed or blocked due to several factors, including:

  • Surgery or Trauma: Removal of lymph nodes or tissue damage.
  • Infections: Persistent viral or bacterial infections.
  • Sedentary Lifestyle: Lack of movement, as lymph requires muscle contraction to flow.
  • Chronic Conditions: Diseases like cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, or fibromyalgia.

Contraindications for the treatment

ADVANCED (Electro) Lymphatic Drainage is contraindicated for individuals with active cancer, pacemakers or electrical implants, acute infections, blood clots (DVT), or kidney failure. It should also be avoided during pregnancy, severe heart conditions, or over recent surgical sites (within 6 weeks). These precautions prevent spreading infection, dislodging clots, or interfering with electrical devices.

*Absolute Contraindications (Do Not Proceed)

  • Active Cancer/Tumors: Metastatic conditions, leukemia, or lymphoma.
  • Cardiovascular Issues: Congestive heart failure, acute thrombosis (DVT), or phlebitis.
  • Electrical/Metal Implants: Pacemakers, defribillators, or metal implants in the area.
  • Infections: Acute bacterial infections or severe cellulitis.
  • Kidney Failure: Untreated or severe kidney failure.
  • Pregnancy: Usually contraindicated.

*Relative Contraindications (Use Caution or Get Medical Clearance)

  • Post-Surgery: Avoid immediate areas of incisions, fat transfers, or implants within the first 6-8 weeks.
  • Thyroid Conditions: Avoid the neck area if having thyroid dysfunction.
  • Skin Issues: Eczema, dermatitis, or open wounds.
  • Uncontrolled Diabetes: Due to potential for poor healing.

How do you fix a clogged Lymphatic System?

The lymph system lacks a pump and relies on physical action; incorporating techniques like dry brushing and advanced lymphatic drainage therapy helps move fluid and reduce stagnation.  Couple the aforementioned treatments with personal lifestyle changes that focus on movement (walking, swimming, yoga), deep breathing, staying hydrated, engage in holistic detoxifications, and then REST to recover!
